Additional notes
King Edward VIII ""Riffhams"" is a 4 hectare wooded site adjacent to over 100 hectares of National Trust Land. We are located only a few miles from the World Jamboree site at Hylands Park. The site comprises of coppiced and standing woodland mainly chestnut, hornbeam and oak. There are several open grassed areas for camping and water taps are conveniently located over the whole site. A hut is available with basic kitchen facilities making the site suitable for use all year round. The toilet block has just been refurbished to include a hot shower and a disabled toilet. We welcome wood fires but only on marked fire bases. Fallen timber is plentiful. The site is ideal for traditional scout and backwoods camping.
