The site is on 14 Acres of land owned by Durham Scout County. It is accessed from the A690 1 mile from A1(M) junction 62, along a private tarmac road that opens onto a large tarmac carpark, both of which are suitable for coaches.''A separate classroom with networked computers can be hired (ready summer 2003)
